Facilities

Please note to access the Hog House there is a short (around 6 minute) walk from the farm yard where your car will be parked, rucksacks are reccomeneded! The stairs in The Hog House are very steep and narrow.

Cooking

Fully equipped kitchen with portable electric induction hob, slow cooker, small oven over the log burner, undercounter electric fridge. Please note there is no freezer

Keeping Fresh

Sink, electric shower, compost toilet in private cubicle. A lake just 5 minutes drive away or stream a short stroll away for a fresher wash!

Keeping Warm

Bed linen and towels provided, wood burning stove in bedroom, a gas heater is provided on the ground floor during the colder months. Please note only an initial supply of firewood is supplied.

Embrace the Views

There is no TV inside the Hog House, instead enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in your surroundings. Cards, boardgames and radio available.

Four Legged Friends

One dog is allowed at The Hog House with an additional charge of £15 per booking. Dogs to be kept on the ground floor at all times. Bowls and a bed can be supplied upon request.

Remember to Bring

We are in the Lake District and the weather can be wild please remember suitable footwear (wellies/ walking boots) and waterproofs. As well as your slippers, food & drink, and, a good book.
